8-week runners foot strength program

This 8 week Runners Foot Strength program is designed to build stronger, more resilient feet and lower legs for running. Across three guided sessions each week, you will improve toe, arch and ankle control, calf and shin strength, balance, and single leg stability. As the program progresses, exercises become more demanding and introduce controlled hopping work to build elastic strength, landing control, and impact tolerance for running.

COURSE LENGTH

8 weeks / 3 times per week
The program follows a clear progression to improve foot strength, balance, and running durability.

EQUIPMENT

Mini roller, massage ball, resistance band, chair, step or small platform.

Use simple tools to help reinforce progress and keep your feet moving well.

TARGETING

Strengthening, balancing, mobilisation, stretching and bounce work.

This program targets foot and ankle control, arch strength, calf and shin conditioning, and single leg stability to help runners handle impact and running load more comfortably.
