8-week hiking foot strength and mobility program

This 8 week Hiking Foot Strength and Mobility program is designed to build strong, steady, trail ready feet and ankles for long walks and uneven terrain. Across three guided sessions each week, you will improve ankle mobility, arch and toe control, calf and shin endurance, balance, and lower body stability so you can handle steep climbs and downhill sections with more comfort and confidence. Each week combines foot and ankle drills, strength work, balance training, plus recovery and release sessions to help your feet feel better during hikes and recover faster after big days outdoors.

COURSE LENGTH

8 weeks / 3 times per week
The course follows a clear progression to build mobility, strength, endurance, and stability so you can move more confidently on trails and reduce post hike soreness and fatigue.

EQUIPMENT

Strength bands, towel, chair, stool

Simple tools used throughout the program to support strengthening, balance work, mobility drills, and recovery sessions at home.

TARGETING

Strengthening, balancing, mobilisation, stretching and release work

This program targets foot and ankle control, arch and toe function, calf and shin endurance, balance, and lower body stability to improve comfort, confidence, and recovery for hiking.
